This program will give you coaching skills and practice to integrate into your current profession

Hours: 60 Student contact hours
Accreditation: Internal Certification + Portfolio Track with ICF
Career Path: For people who want to add coaching skills to their existing profession. Examples: health professionals, real estate, fitness etc.

Approach and Methodology

Our programs are unique in the coach training industry in that we do not propose one single coaching model. Rather we work with you to develop an individual coaching process and model that suits your particular experience, background and coaching specialization.

No Single Theory
We believe coaching as a profession has been influenced by numerous areas of expertise and professions. Some of these are:

• Psychology and Counseling
• Change Management
• Performance Management
• Leadership and Development
• Neuro Linguistic Programming
• No Single Model

We believe coaching is a new profession. Although our course material covers and is drawn from some of these areas, we don't favor any particular area. Rather we encourage our students to develop themselves in the niche of their choice and to draw on whatever discipline they choose.

International Marketplace
We believe it is not enough to be skilled and knowledgeable in the current global environment. Coaches need to be skilled small business operators and they need to understand how to conduct business in an international marketplace.

We value the expertise, knowledge, skills and life experiences of our students and build on these as we develop coaching knowledge and skills.

Individualism and Tailored Solutions
No two coaches are the same and no two clients are the same. Therefore we believe in students developing their own coaching models rather than applying a generic school-based model.

Combining Theory and Practice
We believe that the combination of theory and practice is a powerful one, and that one is not effective without the other. While we value theory, we also acknowledge that people learn best by doing.

Structure

Each program consists of a series of courses. Unlike traditional learning environments, we have designed these courses to be taken in any order. This means that you can completely tailor your learning to your changing needs.

Both programs are based on the philosophy that being a great coach is just as much about who you are as it is about what you do. We therefore develop people in order to create high performance coaches. We believe coaches need to understand the fundamentals to starting and growing a coaching practice. This requires coaching skills, small business and marketing skills and culturally relevant communication skills.

ICA life coaching programs consist of specialist courses designed to build knowledge and skills as a coach and as a business owner. In addition to attending teleclasses, reading lecture notes and participating on our interactive discussion board, students are required to coach and be coached.

Academic Schedule

We currently have students enrolled from all over the world , crossing many timezones. To cater for this international student body we have a flexible online calendar with all classes scheduled well in advance so students can plan their study around their (often) busy lives.
