Most people are affected by things that happen or by the actions of other people. They might feel happy because something good happened. Or, they might be upset because someone said, or did, something negative to them. A person’s state of being – the way they are inside – is often shifting. External factors – things outside of us like people or situations – lose their power over us when we realize we can consciously shift how we want to be on the inside. We can shift our state of being. When we become aware of this, it becomes very empowering. Rather than possibly suffering about something, we can take steps to move to a place of inner peace.
