I am a personal development coach focusing on career and life coaching.
My vision for my coaching practice is to improve the quality of my clients’ life by supporting and guiding them through self-discovery of their values, beliefs and choices they have to reach their destinations.
Several years ago I did some soul searching and found that I was in need of a change with the direction of my life. Something challenging, mind and soul stimulating and rewarding in all aspects. After doing some research on the web and speaking to several friends, I discovered ICA.
When reading the testimonials, listening to the audio files and talking to an ICA representative, I knew that ICA was the place to be for me to expand my knowledge and grow my spirit.
My journey with ICA has been a ‘six star by far’ experience. It is fantastic being surrounded and supported by wonderful trainers and students with similar goals and values.
How are you using coaching to make a difference?:
My clients are people in transition through their career, cross-culture and turning points in their lives. I work with expatriates across all industries particularly based in Japan. Japanese nationals who wish to improve and/or pursue a career overseas. University students who want to join multi-national companies based in Japan and abroad. A wonderful opportunity has been steadily unfolding over the last couple weeks where I will be supporting another coach in bringing coaching and coaching skills to a Japan based NPO who are involved in youth development. The NPO mentors troubled kids from all ages, particularly adolescents, supporting them with growing pains, finding their place in society and discovering their goals and dreams. Our role will be to provide training and coaching for the volunteer mentors that will support their own journey and enhance their experience with their client such as through active listening, championing and providing other perspectives. I greatly look forward to this project for 2010!
What was the most valuable thing you learned at ICA?:
Since starting my journey in September 2008, I have gained other perspectives, life tools and have been building by confidence within. It has made a positive impact on my own life and the lives of others which I have fortunately had the chance to coach. Humility, sensitivity and letting go of a few negative beliefs are also just some things that have blossomed within me. As I continue with my coaching journey with ICA, I am grateful for what I have learned, what I will learn and I will become in the future that will nurture myself and society one step at a time.
