In February, the Cross Cultural Coaching Group created interest surrounding a variety of subjects relating to Cross Cultural Coaching and Diversity Coaching. Group Leader, Prabha Chandrasekhar facilitated rich conversation in which many questions were raised and observations made.
“In your opinion, what is the difference between regular coaching and cross-cultural coaching based on the experience you just talked about?”
“The world is becoming so globalized, and there are so many companies that hire from all around the country. It’s important for more general cultural coaching, helping them not necessarily to be able to adapt to working with one culture, but to adapt to working in a multi-cultural environment and understanding all aspects of a culture all in one world.”
“I’m very interested in more of the cultural coaching. I have done destination services for the last five years, and I know that I could benefit from learning more of all the cultures. In Los Angeles we have people from all over the world, and they’re not coming in from just one country. They’re coming in from all over the world. I just see the great importance of it and it is such an exciting time. So I know that I can add more value the more I dive into it and understand all the different cultures that I can help. So I think that this field has endless possibilities that we can help in business and just in daily life. I’m very excited about learning more and see a huge need.”
