    Case Study

Kelly had recently been downsized from a corporate sales position that she held for eight years.  Upon hearing this news, she felt overwhelmed, shocked and fearful about what might come next for her.  As the next few weeks went by, Kelly took a step back and began to make a plan for herself.  Since she had enrolled in a coach training program a year earlier, she thought that this was the perfect time to dive in to her studies and get the program completed.  It made perfect sense, since she could never find the time to dedicate to her studies while working as a busy sales executive.

    Intention:

There is no mistake that intention is the beginning stage of the model.  It can be defined as a purpose that guides your planned actions.  Part of that purpose in the coaching process is establishing trust, creating rapport, and focusing on the client’s needs.  Having intent is important in anything that we do, since it sets the stage for what’s to come next.   All of this is imperative to embarking on a successful journey with a client, in that it sets the tone for the client/coach relationship

At the fulcrum point of leadership is the essence of your resilient strength. Resilience is your inner strength to take it, your mental strength to react to it, your outer strength to respond to it, and all your strength to recover from it. Jeffrey Gitomer

Resilience Just the sound of the word – resilience – sparkles as it rolls off the tongue. It has energy and enlightenment and feels like a powerful word. For those that demonstrate resilience in how they deal with life’s challenges, this is exactly how they see themselves. Ask yourself this – when faced with life’s challenges, when things go wrong, when your plans don’t fall into place, do you bounce back or do you fall apart?

There is nothing that creates a future better than a dream: Today it is only utopia, tomorrow it will be reality.

A personal translation of a quote of Viktor Hugo from German into English

    Introduction

Have you ever been in a situation where you exactly knew what you are striving for? Clearly picturing what you want and what you are striving for? - How did that feel?

Or do you usually rather know, what you don’t want to have in place or in life anymore, taking that as a starting point for change and development?

According to A Course in Miracles there exist only two emotions  – Love; guided by Truth, and Fear; guided by Ego.  The decisions made with one or the other when faced with a personal challenge can be the difference between setting oneself free or binding oneself in chains.

At the heart of my coaching philosophy is the principle that you are the creator of your own reality, and therefore you have the power to change it. When you take responsibility for your thoughts, words, actions, and habits, the power to create personal change is strengthened as it extends from you, rather than the belief it comes to you. This is the true source for real and lasting transformation!
